Hey, everyone.  Today is a new day and almost a new week.  What did you accomplish this week?

I did the 3-day Shakeology cleanse!!  I started on Monday and ended Wednesday evening.  It was a great experience and I am so glad that I went through it.

Monday, Day 1:
Went great, I didn't feel deprived and felt energetic and clear minded.  I even did Turbo Jam 20 minute workout and had enough energy to complete Ab Jam.  Felt great.  Had my green tea and Strawberry Shakeology mixed with ice, water and a banana in the morning for breakfast.  Had an Apple for snack and a Strawberry shakeology mixed with water for lunch.  I was at work so I couldn't blend it.  I skipped my P.M. shakeology and got home and ate a half bag of Fresh Market Asian Salad, didn't add the lean meat due to the fact that I did not go grocery shopping.  Did my workout and then had my third Strawberry Shakeology mixed with water and ice.  Whew, Day 1 was over.  That was awesome!!

Tuesday, Day 2:
I followed the same eating pattern today, but actually did my third shake at the P.M. Snack time.  I was really looking forward to my salad.  Felt a bit hungry today and wasn't sure if I wanted to attempt a normal workout routine so I opted for the Shakeology workouts and did the 30 minutes.  Felt pretty good, but was definitely tired after it.  I also didn't feel well....not from the cleanse but rather my sinuses started acting up.  Ut Oh, this was the last thing I needed.  I went to bed early with the chills and aches.

Wednesday, Day 3:
DETERMINED!! I was determined to make it through this cleanse.  I had no energy but still managed to drink my green tea and drink my shakes.  I did not want to eat any roughage because my throat was so sore.  I had a very bad headache and it pounded behind my right ear....definitely sinus problems.  Do not get me wrong you will have a slight headache when you do the cleanse because your body is hungry and craving food.  But, if I can get through it being ill, so can you!

All in all, even being sick, I pulled through the three days.  Everyone on my team was encouraging me and I would recommend that you have a support group, like mine, behind you when you decide to do it.

Now, you are probably asking why I would put myself through that....easy, I needed to break through a plateau.  My body had gotten used to what I was doing so I needed to encourage it to burn more and work harder for me.  Others do it because of the way it makes them feel clean and pure again afterwards.

On day four, I recommend introducing your body to foods again lightly, such as adding fruit and veggies back in...do not delve deep in to meat products or high protein items that will scare your body, add that towards the end of the day, not the beginning.

Over those 3-day I lost 4.5 pounds and really felt proud of myself for pulling through it and sticking it out.  It's a bit tough, but you can do it.  I chose to do it during the workweek because I needed to stay busy for most of the day rather than sitting home on the weekend.

If you would like more information on the cleanse, contact me and I would be happy to help you get started.  You may also visit my Facebook page by clicking the link on the left side of the page and clicking "like" and then contacting me that way as well.

Have a great week everyone!!
