New Beginnings!

Happy Hump Day everyone.

It's been a while since I have posted on my blog.  Why have I been gone so long?!  Not sure.

I have not been treating myself so well lately.  I have been running, but nothing other than that.  It's time for me to get back at it.  If I want to lose weight and get healthy and fit, it's not going to happen without me putting in some work.  SO, let's start....no time like the present.

Tonight I will come home from work and do my workout.  No excuses....no regrets.

I want to change my life for the health of it....not for vanity, but for my future and my health.  Diabetes and high blood pressure run in my family....it's up to me to control it.

My will power and drive will help me succeed.  I will tell everyone around me what I am doing so I am forced to stay accountable.  It's time for me to take control.

Watch my journey.  I will start posting pictures.  If you want to join me, there are so many programs out there for any fitness level and for any time level.

We have 10 minute trainer, 10 minutes a day....break it in to 3 times a day and you have the perfect workout.

Focus T25 which is 25 minutes a day....I love this program from ShaunT...perfect workout and you can fit it in to your day easily.

Les Mills Pump and Combat are my all time favorites.  I like to combine the two programs for the ultimate workout.  Strength plus cardio...yeah!!

Power 90, P90X, P90X2 and soon P90X3 all have a proven record of creating the ultimate machine.  Tony Horton is amazing at working your body in to the ultimate body.

Chalene Johnson is my inspiration...she's amazing.  Check out her Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, ChaLEAN Extreme and TurboKick lines.  This woman is amazing....I love her workouts.  They are full of energy, inspiration and motivation.

The Ultimate Reset is a 21 day program that will teach you how your body was made to function and how eating clean revs up your body to optimal performance.

There is a program for any skill level.....from beginner to advanced.  Work your way up....that's what I did.  I started with Power 90 and Turbo Jam.  You will not regret it.

Choices!

Good day everyone.

I hope all my Mommy friends had a fantastic Mother's Day.  I know my day was wonderful.

I have several friends on facebook that have been watching my transformation.  Most of the questions I get are about allowing yourself to have a treat and not wanted to give up somethings that have become a staple in your life.  Here is my response to that...

Week by week I lose the weight and start defining my body.  I try to encourage those around me to stay focused.  You are entitled to that occassional treat and will have guilt afterwards.  This weekend was my weekend to endulge a little.  I had chicken tenders and french fries.  Granted it was only a few, but I had them...and I DID feel guilty afterwards.  A normal feeling after working so hard and being good.  It happens and we cannot beat ourselves up over it.

As summer closes in on us my friends are starting to scramble.  Wondering if they are going to be able to lose the weight so they can go to the beach or water parks without wrapping themselves in a towel.  I tell them all....YES, you do have enough time.  Anytime you decide to start will allow you the time to transform.  You will NOT get results over night and you get what you put in to it.

In 12 weeks I have lost 25 pounds and several inches.  I didn't really see it until I posted a side by side facial shot.

I was astounded that eating right and working out had this much of an effect on me and my transformation.  I am so excited to be on this journey and so excited that so many have decided to join me.

WILL YOU BE NEXT?  You will be amazed at what you can do in 12 weeks....even 8 weeks.  Give it a try.  Send me a message so I can help you on your journey.

I will not lie, it will be a tough road, but if you do it correctly it will make a huge difference in your life, because this is not a DIET, this is a LIFESTYLE.

It is all about choices! What is your choice?

What has helped...Shakeology has!

I think it is kind of funny that I waited almost 10 years again to start my weight loss journey!!

As I laid in bed last night thinking, wow my son will be 10 on Tuesday, it hit me that I am 40!!  I didn't lose sleep or fuss because I knew I was doing everything right.  I am eating well, losing weight, drinking my shakeology, and helping and inspiring others to do the same.

If you think you can't do it, you are wrong.  I smoked cigarettes for 20+ years, I drank beer and ate whatever I wanted.  The problem with that was the fact that my midsection started to expand, my knees were achy and my head was always pounding.  I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breathe...how horrible is that?

The best thing that happened was reading someone's blog about their story, just as I am doing on mine.  It was so inspiring to read their story and watch it unfold in front of me on the page.  The only problem with that person's blog is that they didn't specify how they did it.

I will make sure you know what I use....I use Beachbody!!  I went online and bought a program.  Then as I joined my challenge group, that my coach offered, I started to drink Shakeology.  This catapulted my progress.  I had no idea that Shakeology made such a difference until I bought Turbo Jam as a challenge pack.  The challenge packs come with a program of your choice, Activit vitamins, Club membership (which is so worth it) and a trial of Shakeology.

I drank my Shakeology every day until it was gone.  I had increased energy, felt more alive, more alert and really felt as though I could get through the day without being as hungry.  I drank mine for breakfast.  All of a sudden it was gone....my energy started to dissipate, I felt that mid day crash again, ugh, my shakeology was gone....oh my gosh, so I jumped online and went to my coach's website and ordered it on Home Direct 30 day bag supply.  Ever since then I have been feeling great and have not experienced the mid-day crash.  I feel like I have enough energy to get through the day and sometimes I even add a shake after a vigorous workout to help me recover.

I personally have my Shakeology delivered every month on home direct because I do not have to worry about whether or not I ordered it and I do not pay shipping.  I have my Shakeology alternate flavors every other month....this is a new feature and I love it!!  I have alternating flavors with Chocolate and New, Tropical Strawberry (Vegan).  I experiment with adding different liquids, such as soy milk, coconut milk, water, etc. and really enjoy the recipes that come with your first order and that you can get online.

The number one reason why I ordered Shakeology....it has a money back guarantee.  If you get to the bottom of the bag and you truly do not like it, you can call customer service and get your money back.  BUT, you will not want to do that, because you are going to love it and love how you feel drinking it!!

Check out my site for information... www.myshakeology.com/Snuffybitts if you would like to order a challenge pack and join my team go to www.beachbodycoach.com/Snuffybitts

I love the products and what they have done for me so much, that I have decided to make it my mission to help others succeed as I have.  I became a coach and would like each and every one of you to join me so together we can end the trend of obesity.

If you want to make money helping others achieve their goals of losing weight and join me by being a coach, please reach out to me and I will give you the information.

Keep pressing play and drink your shakeology every day.

Hey, everyone.  Today is a new day and almost a new week.  What did you accomplish this week?

I did the 3-day Shakeology cleanse!!  I started on Monday and ended Wednesday evening.  It was a great experience and I am so glad that I went through it.

Monday, Day 1:
Went great, I didn't feel deprived and felt energetic and clear minded.  I even did Turbo Jam 20 minute workout and had enough energy to complete Ab Jam.  Felt great.  Had my green tea and Strawberry Shakeology mixed with ice, water and a banana in the morning for breakfast.  Had an Apple for snack and a Strawberry shakeology mixed with water for lunch.  I was at work so I couldn't blend it.  I skipped my P.M. shakeology and got home and ate a half bag of Fresh Market Asian Salad, didn't add the lean meat due to the fact that I did not go grocery shopping.  Did my workout and then had my third Strawberry Shakeology mixed with water and ice.  Whew, Day 1 was over.  That was awesome!!

Tuesday, Day 2:
I followed the same eating pattern today, but actually did my third shake at the P.M. Snack time.  I was really looking forward to my salad.  Felt a bit hungry today and wasn't sure if I wanted to attempt a normal workout routine so I opted for the Shakeology workouts and did the 30 minutes.  Felt pretty good, but was definitely tired after it.  I also didn't feel well....not from the cleanse but rather my sinuses started acting up.  Ut Oh, this was the last thing I needed.  I went to bed early with the chills and aches.

Wednesday, Day 3:
DETERMINED!! I was determined to make it through this cleanse.  I had no energy but still managed to drink my green tea and drink my shakes.  I did not want to eat any roughage because my throat was so sore.  I had a very bad headache and it pounded behind my right ear....definitely sinus problems.  Do not get me wrong you will have a slight headache when you do the cleanse because your body is hungry and craving food.  But, if I can get through it being ill, so can you!

All in all, even being sick, I pulled through the three days.  Everyone on my team was encouraging me and I would recommend that you have a support group, like mine, behind you when you decide to do it.

Now, you are probably asking why I would put myself through that....easy, I needed to break through a plateau.  My body had gotten used to what I was doing so I needed to encourage it to burn more and work harder for me.  Others do it because of the way it makes them feel clean and pure again afterwards.

On day four, I recommend introducing your body to foods again lightly, such as adding fruit and veggies back in...do not delve deep in to meat products or high protein items that will scare your body, add that towards the end of the day, not the beginning.

Over those 3-day I lost 4.5 pounds and really felt proud of myself for pulling through it and sticking it out.  It's a bit tough, but you can do it.  I chose to do it during the workweek because I needed to stay busy for most of the day rather than sitting home on the weekend.

If you would like more information on the cleanse, contact me and I would be happy to help you get started.  You may also visit my Facebook page by clicking the link on the left side of the page and clicking "like" and then contacting me that way as well.

Have a great week everyone!!

My Story

Hello everyone, and thank you for joining me on my journey!  I wanted to give you some background information on me and my reasons why I wanted to start this journey and help others become fit and fabulous.

My specs:  I am 5'9" with a large bone structure so I hold weight fairly well.

When I was in high school I weighed approximately 132 pounds sopping wet.  At the ripe age of 20 I had my first son and was young and nieve with no one to help give me advice on the ins and outs of pregnancy.  Long story short, I stopped counting when I hit 218 pounds and still had a few weeks to go.  I was mortified.

I never lost all the weight after being pregnant and worked full time and had struggles throughout the next few years.  Still being overweight and uncomfortable in my own skin I found out I was slotted for the 10 year plan and was expecting baby #2.  My son was born on May 2nd and to my surprise I did not gain as much this time, only about 38 pounds, and I did really well on losing the post baby weight.  WOO HOO I thought, I finally have this under control and within six months I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant...I was at 185 lbs, that's good for me....so I thought.

Almost ten years later and more struggles I left my part time job due to family issues and found myself just sitting around my house snacking, not on the good stuff.  When I realized that my clothes were just too small and that I would need to go out and buy more (size 18) I just about slapped myself into realization.  One, I could not afford new clothes and two, all the women in my family went down this path and did not live past 60 or if they were lucky 70.

NO WAY, NOT ME!  I refuse to be a statistic in my family history.

My right knee was in bad shape from an accident when I was seven where my knee cap was cut off by a skeet shooter, after months of rehab and years of diligence I never had problems with it until I gained all this weight. Then I fell one night and twisted my sacrum and have had back problems ever since.....none of these issues were going to stop me.....I am determined to change history and start a new trend in my family.....I WILL BECOME FIT AND FABULOUS!!

So, sitting at a whopping 220 lbs, I dusted off the Power 90 system that I bought a while back from beachbody and starting using it.  On February 6th I started my first challenge group after getting used to the program for a few weeks.  I am on my way I thought.....nothing will stop me now.

Today, just 70 days in to my challenge group for Power 90 I am 20 pounds lighter and ready to take on the world.  My knee doesn't ache as much and my back only aches on occassion.  My size 16 pants are getting looser and looser and I have lost most of the junk in my trunk, if you know what I mean.  My waist and hips have slimmed down by 2" so far and I am not nearly done.  My face has thinned out and people are really starting to notice.

I would love to have you join me on my journey and work with me to help end the trend to obesity.  This is me 20 pounds lighter...and still going!!

Are you in??  If so, contact me at Snuffybitts@beachbodycoach.com and join me in this journey.
